A studio without walls
Mudan started in Luzhu, Taoyuan — a district where many households balance busy professional lives with a desire for thoughtful, personal care. The founder, a trained makeup artist with experience across bridal, editorial, and event work, noticed a recurring pattern: clients arrived to appointments flustered, having navigated traffic, parked, and rushed. The result was a compromised experience before the session had even begun.
The decision to shift to a fully home-visit model was not a compromise — it was a design choice. By removing the salon from the equation, sessions become calmer, more focused, and more personal. The client sets the tone. The artist adapts.
Today, Mudan serves individuals across Taoyuan, attending kitchen tables turned prep counters, hotel rooms before evening events, and family homes on milestone mornings.

Single-use applicators, sanitized brushes, and alcohol-prepared surfaces are standard practice in every session, regardless of setting.
Product curation
Products are selected for Taiwan's humid subtropical climate, long wear, and suitability across a wide range of skin tones and types.
Collaborative sessions
Clients are encouraged to share preferences, ask questions, and redirect throughout. The session belongs to the person in the chair.
Privacy & discretion
Client information and photos are never shared without explicit permission. What happens in the session stays with Mudan.
Ongoing training
The Mudan team participates in industry workshops and technique refreshers to keep skills and product knowledge current.
